A great famine will come. Before the famine comes, children under the age of seven will begin to tremble and will die in the arms of those who hold them. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)

Woe to the inhabitants of the earth! There will be bloody wars and famines, plagues and infectious diseases. Our Lady of La Salette 19 Sept. 1846 (Published by Mélanie 1879)

A seven-year-old girl has been killed by the flu in Indiana less than a day after being sent home from the hospital. Savanna Jessie fell ill last week and was taken to the hospital on Wednesday to get treated but was sent home and put to bed where her condition worsened. The next morning her father found the first-grader unresponsive in her home and she was rushed to Columbus Regional Hospital where she died shortly after. She tested positive for the flu, strep throat and scarlet fever at the time of her death, making her one of at least 53 children who have been killed by the deadly virus that is devastating the US this season. "I protest highly against a different text, which people may dare publish after my death. I protest once more against the very false statements of all those who dare say and write First that I embroidered the Secret; second, against those who state that the Queen Mother did not say to transmit the Secret to all her people."
