Death toll in rain-ravaged West Virginia drops to 23 after two men presumed dead are found alive in the state's third most deadly flood

Two men thought to have been killed in the floods of hard-hit Greenbrier, West Virginia, have been found alive, according to West Virginia Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. The men were believed to have been swept away by raging waters in a flooding that has destroyed hundreds of homes and devastated communities in the state. Officials have not yet released details about the men, but confirmed the death toll is now two people lower than previously thought. Twenty bodies have been recovered and three more people are believed to be dead. The flooding in West Virginia has been deemed the state's third-deadliest-ever on record, according to the National Weather Service. Between four and ten inches fell last week, and while the NWS isn't expecting anywhere near that amount, more than 20 counties were under a flash flood watch Monday. Downpours were possible in many areas already ravaged by flooding, including Kanawha and Nicholas counties, the NWS said. The forecast also included hardest-hit Greenbrier County, where 17 people have died and floodwaters have yet to recede. Daily Mail Read More>>>>>>

Texas woman is mauled to death in front yard by pack of six dogs as she serves papers - but sheriff says the owners WON'T face charges

A woman was mauled to death by a pack of dogs at a home in Travis County on Wednesday, but their owner probably won't face charges - despite residents saying they are 'frightening' and a nuisance. Process server Erin McCleskey, 36, was attacked after she entered the front gate of the home of Donald and Terry Swanson to serve civil papers. The Swansons have been out of town for more than a month, so her body was only found when a caretaker arrived to bring the dogs food and water, Statesman reported.  Source

EARTHQUAKE DOOM! Cops Investigate Mutilation Of Young Bear: Paws, Gallbladder & Fat Removed! Bear Fat Used To Predict Earthquakes!

Bear Found With Paws, Gallbladder Removed On Canyon Country Freeway
SANTA CLARITA (CBSLA.com) — Wildlife officials Friday were investigating the mutilation of young bear that was struck by a vehicle in Canyon Country. Caltrans workers found the bear, believed to have been about two years old and around 150 pounds, on Highway 14 near Sand Canyon Road, according to the state Department of Fish and Wildlife. Its four paws and gallbladder had been removed.“For somebody else to come over and maim the animal after it’s already dead or wounded, that’s just night right at all as far as I’m concerned,” said Todd Werner of Canyon Country. Fish and Wildlife spokesman Andrew Hughan told the Los Angeles Times investigators believe the bear was mutilated after it was hit. “There were no signs of a gunshot, broken legs or hip — this was a crime of opportunity,” Hughan was quoted as saying. “We are very confident it was hit by a car. This desecration of the body was done afterward.” CBS Read More>>>>>>>
