SAO PAULO - Brazilian authorities say 10 people have died and another 10 are reported missing in floods and mudslides that hit a small rural town in the southeastern state of Sao Paulo. The state's civil defence department says in a Tuesday statement that more than 300 people were forced to leave their homes in Itaoca when the Palmital River overflowed its banks and flooded the community following more than five hours of heavy downpours from Sunday to Monday. The displaced were given temporary shelter in churches and schools. The roads leading to Itaoca have been cut off and the community has no water or electrical service. Authorities have declared a state of calamity. Late last year, floods and mudslides killed 41 people in the states of Espirito Santo and Minas Gerais. Montreal Gazette

"I protest highly against a different text, which people may dare publish after my death. I protest once more against the very false statements of all those who dare say and write First that I embroidered the Secret; second, against those who state that the Queen Mother did not say to transmit the Secret to all her people."
