Crowds were brought to a standstill when they witnessed an astonishing 'end of times' lights form among clouds over Costa Rica.
The spectacle, in the capital of San Jose, occurred on the country's Independence Day last Tuesday.
It led some to describe the incredible phenomenon as being 'like a sign of God'.
Resident Joey Petit told ABC News his family were at a playground when his 11-year-old son, Ariel, noticed the odd formations in the clouds.
His father said: 'He immediately grabbed the camera and started taking video and photos. We were just so amazed. We had no idea what it was and we'd never seen anything like it'. Daily Mail Read More>>>>>>>
